The Barloworld Equipment Cat Rental Store was launched in southern Africa on 1 October 2002 when the region’s first Cat Rental Store opened in Isando.
The Cat Rental Store comprises Rental Services and Rent-to-Rent divisions for small and large plant respectively and provides world class customer service to customers across the board through a broad product range, logistic efficiency and employee excellence.
The aim of the Cat Rental Store is to ensure that all customers have the right machine, at the right place, at the right time.
Rental Services
 Caterpillar’s wide range of below-20t compact machines is ideally suited to the building, repair and maintenance of buildings after the heavy construction machines have moved off site and accounts for up to 50% of Caterpillar’s worldwide earthmoving business.
Barloworld Equipment anticipated the boom in small versatile earthmoving and utility machines by establishing a specialist team to sell and rent these machines into the diverse and growing local market.
