Barloworld Equipment CEO Lester Day retired at the end of 2006 after a 33-year career with Barloworld. As a young accountant, he accepted his first position with Barlows Cape in 1973. He has since worked for the group in Zimbabwe, KwaZulu-Natal and London before being appointed Barloworld Equipment CEO in 1995. The past six years of Lester’s career have involved travelling up to six months out of every year in his role as custodian not only of our Southern African business but also our businesses in Iberia, London and Siberia. Lester is pictured receiving a farewell gift from Barloworld Equipment chief operating officer Peter Bulterman.
