 Clive Thomson succeeds Lester Day as CEO of Barloworld Equipment. Clive joined Barloworld in March 1997 as finance director of the Barloworld Coatings division with financial responsibility for the group’s paint interests in Southern Africa, Australia, and the United Kingdom. He was appointed to the Barloworld Limited board as finance director on 1 April 2003. Previously he was a partner of Deloitte & Touche where he served in audit, technical advisory and education portfolios. He spent a year with Deloittes in Princeton, United States as part of an international project team designing and implementing technology solutions for the global practice. In 1993 Clive completed his Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) degree at Cambridge University, England, in the Economics and Politics of Development.
